TALK TO ME NOW: We can hear what God is saying
I have sometimes misunderstood God and I believe that most people have also at some point in life misunderstood God. God is gentle and so are His words. Like I said, You really do not have to be a Bishop or Pope to hear what God has to say, but you have to understand that there are certain God-appointed people like prophets who have the privilege to know what you and I do not know.
When you sacrifice your time to know God through His words, God will tell you what concerns you through His words or by talking to you directly, either by HIMSELF or through people and incidents and especially through the Holy Spirit. This means that we have to acknowledge each member of the body of Christ.
We are all gifted and blessed in different ways just as we were all created uniquely to perform unique roles on earth. And even though we do things differently, we are connected to one another and are part of each other.
All of you together are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of that body. And in the church God has given a place first to apostles, second to prophets, and third to teachers. Then God has given a place to those who do miracles, those who have gifts of healing, those who can help others, those who are able to lead, and those who can speak in different kinds of languages. Not all are apostles. Not all are prophets. Not all are teachers. Not all do miracles. Not all have gifts of healing. Not all speak in different kinds of languages. Not all interpret those languages. Continue to give your attention to the spiritual gifts you consider to be the greatest. But now I want to point out a way of life that is even greater 1 Corinthians 12:27-31 ERV
Some people are therefore gifted to prophesy through the Holy Spirit with the intention to give the word of God to people so as to encourage and strengthen people who need spiritual lift-ups. In saying this you have to test all prophecies and hold fast to that which is good.

Don’t suppress the Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word from the Master. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Check out everything, and keep only what’s good. Throw out anything tainted with evil 1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 The Message
But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort 1 Corinthians 14:3 NIV
Everything in life has to come to maturity, so is hearing from God which takes time and practice. In the past when I heard anything about spirituality, I used to freak out but the fact is that we need it, we are spiritual beings. and to truly worship God, we need to do it in Spirit and in truth.
Public figures like Oprah testified that starting her day with spiritual inspirations gives her a lift for the rest of the day. God is so simple and so close to you and he is saying something. would you pay attention?
You are not the only one that has something to say to God, God also has so much to say to you. God wants to tell you how much He loves you and how much He will comfort you, guide you, and warn you in different ways and through different tools.
God conveys messages through dreams and visions, through the Scriptures, and I believe also through what you like. If all you do is go on social media, God is there, if you love reading, you will see God in a book, if you love people, you will see God in people. You can also see God through arts and crafts, through music and dance to mention a few. God is everywhere.
One may hear God’s voice in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings Job 33:15-16 AMPC
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years Daniel 9:2NIV
GOD’S GLORY SPEAKS EVERYDAY
Not that anyone likes bad things to happen but would it not be a blessing if the small still voice of God told you to move from a particular place and the next minute a car dashed in and swept away everybody there in a terrible accident.
Or perhaps God put it in your heart to call your friend and that was just what your friend needed, that phone call of encouragement after a bad day at work.
We are all connected and all it takes is love. God is love. The word we hear from God is love and all that we do should also be done in love and for love’s sake.
These are just some of the many ways in which God can communicate with us in our everyday lives. God wants to interact with us on a daily basis but our busy lives in a busy world can be a distraction. To hear from God accurately takes practice.
Activities like fasting and prayer, praise and worship, and reading the Bible help to develop a positive heart and space. It keeps our hearts and spirits sensitive only to the things of God and not to the things of the earth. It prevents people from being angry and callous.
GOD COMMUNICATES THROUGH THE HOLY BIBLE
Not everything that people hear is necessarily from God, that is why the Holy Bible is the number one guaranteed source of God’s words. God speaks through scriptures if you meditate on it by day and by night asking for God’s wisdom and revelation as you ponder on the words of God.
It is also the word of God that will enable you to validate the source of any word you hear from other sources. The precious word of God will never violate the words in the Bible, it will never cause harm to you or to others, it will not ask you to do something illegal or against authority either as a wife or husband, as an employee or employer, or as a citizen of a country.
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome Jeremiah 29:11 AMPC
GOD COMMUNICATES THROUGH IMPRESSIONS OR PICTURES
Sometimes, you may internally view a scene or a quick picture in your mind about something that is deposited into your spirit and you will sense that it is from God. We all should be able to decern what is of God and what is not.
Sometimes God’s revelation or words may present in form of songs, single words, or even phrases or pictures. And if you ponder on what you have seen or heard just as you ponder on the word of God, you will be able to understand what you have seen or heard.
You may also see or hear from God through external captures like visions, colors, pictures, house numbers or clocks, or almost anything visible that catches your eyes and your attention. And in some cases, you suddenly are drawn to write either in a journal or just typing on as it comes.
GOD SPEAKS THROUGH DREAMS AND VISIONS
Jesus Christ mostly spoke in parables and dreams are a form of night parables. You can certainly hear God through your dreams although not all dreams are from God, again, you will have to learn how to discern in the Spirit which is from God and which is not. Once you identify how God uses scenarios or symbols to speak then you can trust God to also guide you.
For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. [One may hear God’s voice] in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed. Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings], Job 33:14-16AMPC
