TALK TO ME NOW: We can hear what God is saying: Cont.
Jesus often used parables to teach lessons of life and He sometimes used real people to demonstrate real-life situations. In similar ways, our lives and how we live it also is a story and God is always saying something through how we chose to live.
These symbolic life stories from real-life experiences communicate a deeper spiritual truth and we often miss it. Even the disciples of Jesus Christ who were so close to Him did not understand the parables that He told initially until Jesus explained plainly.
You also can learn a lot about God’s hidden languages and mysteries by studying the Word of God, by studying the parables that Jesus told, by studying people, places, and anything you are connected with.
God can speak through nature and through people and even in those silly conversations that you have with friends, family, or with your colleagues at work. God can also speak through movies, music, and performance art.
Take some time off your busy life schedule and walk through the woods or sit around the beach or sit beside the sea and just relax and see what God has to say to you. Find what comforts your soul.
Some people also have supernatural experiences with our supernatural God and can see angels or hear audible voices from heaven. Even though these activities are not common, it happens and it has happened before our time and mentioned in the scriptures.
These days people say “seeing is believing” but if you are still waiting for angels to appear or for the bush to set ablaze, or for something mystical or magical to happen, your thoughts about God may be worth looking into again and may be necessary to be renewed again because God is simple, God is Love, God is pure and God communicates as He wishes. Don’t complicate things for yourselves.
Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him John 12:37NIV
A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed Matthew 16:4 NKJV
God sees us all and knows that we need time to grow and develop from a baby who drinks milk into adults who eat meat. God is patient and puts your time to grow and develop into consideration.
To whom much is given much is expected and God does not expect more from us than we are capable of. And as you grow, you will be trialed and your faith will be tested before you can grow into another level of influence and maturity. And not only that, as you grow and develop spiritually, you also gain a fresh meaning of God.
But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked Luke 12:48 NIV
